Let's just say getting my website setup has been hell! (I am on my fifth platformin less than a month). FInding a payment processor was even worse! Pure Hell!!! I'm no coding expert and that's ok, I run a small business from my home. I've funded this whole thing myself, but getting going with these Credit Card processors is dang near impossible! I left GoDaddy for WIx because I got tired of all the bugs in GoDaddy's system and I hated their support, talk about awful! Well now I started having problems with Wix payments since I started adding more products. Well I like how the design interface works, so what should I do?
Don't Give Up so Easy
I live in a state where Cannabis is a main stream of revenue and the culture is great here in Aztec. I found Square when I was with GoDaddy, at first, they balked at me because of my domain name, and I was not going to change the way I do business, I mean, the Cannabis industry is available in some form in almost every state, I don't understand the Anti-Cannabis industry with these Credit Card Processors. Thank God for companies like Square who I should of just started with. Starting an online business for anything is a lot of work, I can't remember the last time I haven't worked in the past month or three... lol! But the added stress of the Taboo Cannabis Industry has been crazy. When we first moved to New Mexico, it was to cement myself in a business to help my family, bills pile up and these credit card processors could care less about my story which you can read on our home page.
So Long Story Short
If you want to start a Cannabis Industry or Culture, make sure you do your research. Not all ecommerce systems are willing to work with you whether your an online Head Shop like I have or a Dispensary do your homework twice or even three times, I had conversations with all of these companies before I added my sites and each one said I was ok, well thats not always the case, I'm not moving my site and I refuse to pay big money for other payment processors so luckily I still had a backup plan, Square is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
